Briefly:

The Lutheran Hispanic Missionary Institute exists to train workers to multiply healthy Hispanic ministries. Below are some of the organizations that help us perform our ministry. If you click on the icon, you will go to their website.

The Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care (YLM) provides relief and human care services while planting and nurturing missions on the U.S./Mexico border (El Paso/Jaurez region). YLM is a faith-based 501c(3) non-profit organization and a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The Institute leases building 7 on the YLM campus.
The mission statement for the Rocky Mountain District (RMD) of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is: Igniting Church and Culture for Christ! The five critical targets of the Rocky Mountain District are a Culture of Personal Evangelism, Healthy Ministries, New Ministries, Spiritual Growth and Theological Unity. The Institute receives a generous monthly subsidy from the RMD.
The Center for Hispanic Studies (CHS) of Concordia Seminary offers theological education and leadership in the Lutheran tradition from and for U.S. Hispanic/ Latino communities. CHS advances and carries out its mission through ministry formation programs, research and publication initiatives, and various continuing education and advanced studies opportunities. The Institute courses conform to Level One of CHS's program.
