Students will learn what the Bible says about key questions in life. These "Basic Teachings of the Bible" (Enseñanzas Bàsicas de la Biblia) use simple, uncomplicated language together with lots of illustrations. The course teaches students how to find verses in the Bible and leads them to consult the Scriptures every step of the way. The abundant practical questions may be answered individually or in a group. This course is presently available only in Spanish.
"Basic Teachings of the Bible" is ideal for new believers or for weekly Bible Studies. Each student needs his or her own copy of the Bible in the Popular Version (the simplest translation available in Spanish). The course may stand alone or be used in connection with the Luther's Small Catechism.
- Part 1: The Bible and Prayer (includes an explanation of the Lord’s Prayer)
- Part 2: The Law (includes an explanation of the 10 Commandments)
- Part 3: The Gospel (includes an explanation of the Apostle’s Creed)
- Part 4: Baptism, Communion, and the Proclamation of Forgiveness (this part not yet available in computer format)
